The new OS by Windows was launched last week with a lot of publicity accompanying the launch. The expectations are always high and many initial reactions are positive, but I can say, in all honesty, that I dislike this new release. It feels that there’s a lot of visual improvements, but that the productivity of those using the system suffers. Even opening the folder containing the file is no longer an easy operation for those not looking to open the file itself.
Key Takeaways:
- Windows 11 does not have an easy to use file management system which is essential for anyone’s workflow.
- Windows 11 has serious drawbacks in customization and default settings which will irritate power users.
- Despite the many drawbacks of Windows 11 there is much to appreciate especially the design update of many of the most popular applications like paint.
“Seems like Microsoft is banking that Windows 11 users will be too lazy to go through the rigmarole of changing their default browser — and their scheme may actually work.”
