Intel is now offering a 10 core CPU for consumer use. Previously, large number cores had a hard time keeping up with cooler-running, smaller numbered cores. Thankfully, this issue has been solved, and the 10 core CPU can now handle all sorts of programming running at the same time.
The only downside to this new technology, is that this CPU alone costs over $1100. However, if this is in your price range and you have a lot of computer activities in your future, it just might be worth the investment.
