Both offer free basic virus protection.
For Virus protection that covers everything that you need in virus protection without the bloat of most other virus protections programs try Microsoft Security Essentials.
The price couldn’t be better at FREE! And the compatibility has to be the best being Microsoft’s own program.
After a number of years trying other name brand security programs I’ve settled on using MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) along with Microsoft’s Firewall and I am very happy with the security coverage it offers.
Losing the bloat of other security programs was a big step in running a faster and safer computer.
