Adaptive Equalization is something new that Apple Products have developed. You can only use it on a select few Apple products due to it being a new technology. Basically, there is a microphone within your ear buds. When it listens and find certain frequencies it automatically equalized to make sure that your headphones are noise cancelling. As of now, there is no way of turning off the Adaptive EQ settings. There is an actual sound different when the EQ is forced off.
Key Takeaways:
- Adaptive EQ is a small microphone in the earbuds that changes with outside sound.
- At the moment only Apple products use this type of technology.
- Unfortunately, there is not way currently, to turn of Adaptive EQ
“The shape, the size, the presence or lack of hair, and even ear wax buildup can affect the way sound makes it into our eardrum.”
